I just logged onto PC a few minutes ago. I see where, under my "Title", it now says I have no status. Gee... how to make a guy feel welcome. Oh well... at least I see a lot of other members have no status either. Misery loves company I guess...

I don't have a status either. Don't you have to write one? I can't see where I can do that though.

I presume this is something new? I don't ever recall seeing it before. I have my own "Title" that I substituted for the default titles. But being told I have no status is something new to me. (The truth hurts as they say...)

I went to edit mine earlier and it wasn't working so I made a thread on the issue. It was looked into by DocJohn and he confirmed it was not working and removed it until it was either fixed or replaced with something else.
Thanks for this!

I see it's gone now. So order is restored. And all's right with the world.

I also see that it is back, but you still cannot edit it so it is still not fixed. So Oh Well.

This has still not been resolved. I will post here to this thread when this issue has been resolved.

Its always been tricky. Like you change it, then you dont know if the change has taken, or what to hit to exit. Sometimes the change takes, sometimes it doesnt.

I've never even had the advantage of a status box to type it in the first place

with me it's just something on the screen that does absolutely nothing, and I hope that one day they will sort it so that I can just edit it in my profile or something (just a simple edit box)
Thanks for this!

Well, I hope it gets fixed soon or removed because members here still think I am either at the hospital or going to the hospital.

This should be fixed now, please let me know if it works for you..... (You'll need to reload your page after changing your status to see the updated status.)

it works.

but I have never struggled so much with a dialogue box

seriously. 1 hour to get it to do what I wanted to do. nearly gave me a panic attack because the dam thing wouldn't work.

It's been tested to work on Chrome and Firefox. What browser might you be using?

Tip: The "Edit" link when the dialogue window comes up is the "Submit" or save button. I'll see about fixing this in a future revision.

actually that really helps, thanks.

do you think in a future release (or perhaps as another option) have a non java based option to change your status? (so you litirally click edit under your name and the text box comes up)

better still have a text box in your profile

you know where you can edit your title? (bit like new member, junior member what ever), have something that changes the status

I think that would be great (keep the other setting for those that want it,) it's just an extra for people who want to just change their status and be done with it, not worrying about buttons and what not

So although not ideal, this is fixed for people? I've only heard from one person who's tried out the new status update....

I think the "Edit" only started showing up again today. It doesnt show on yours. Thats how mine was yesterday.

Anyway i tried it and it worked excellently. It didnt keep hanging around like it used to do.

I am having a problem with it. I havent changed my status since I joined but tried a few times over the last week. When I click on edit it brings up a small box with a blue oval for modify status, an oval with my old status and an edit link next to it and something that I cant remember underneath it. I tried to change it and either it bounces me back and forth between modify and edit or I tried to delete the current status in order to edit it and when I clicked modify my screen went dark/ translucent and I couldnt click any links until I clicked the back button. I feel like I am missing something obvious. Can anyone help?
