For a while now, when I post, where my post shows one blank line between paragraphs, what gets parsed and posted shows two or three blank lines.

I can catch it, and fix it, if I go to "preview post" before submitting. But if I add anything from that page, it will have the odd spacing too.

For reference here, I have left only one blank line between each paragraph. Which is to say, after the last period in a paragraph, I press "Return" twice.

I am using Firefox 69.0.1 on a mac. I also have uBlock Origin blocking ads and trackers, which has never been an issue here before - and the issue persists if I turn off the blocker.

My message editor is the Enhanced Editor with WYSIWIG editing. This issue is replicable on at least 2 forum skins ("Psych Central" and "Teal/Black").

I don't post often, and I don't know when this started - I have a feeling it was around the time of the switch to the new domain, but I can't be sure.
Thanks for this!

I have been having the same issue. Also using the same message editor and happens with different skins. When I preview the text before sending it adds additional lines and I have to delete them.

It's been happening to me for ages. When you want to create a new paragraph use the return key. Otherwise don't use the return key.
Thanks for this!

Well that’s interesting.

I accessed PC on my iPhone with Safari. My original post above is displaying as it should... even though from my Mac at home the blank lines between paragraphs are doubled.

It seems to be browser-specific - when I viewed this page in Firefox go iOS (not logged into my account), the new lines in my original post are again doubled.
Thanks for this!

Sorry, we only fixed it for forum display in posts. We'll have to look into it for PMs and other stuff..
