For the last few days I'm not getting email notifications that there are new posts in threads I'm subscribed in. I checked and I'm still subscribed. I tried closing the window and re-opening it and it didn't change anything.

It's not in my spam or trash folders.

What do I need to do?

Thanks

I thought it strange when I went to check my emails this morning, and I didn't have a single notification from the forum. my constant problem though is not getting my actual forum subscriptions.

I'm subscribed to like the bipolar forum, so the idea is I should get a daily summery of posts, but I don't get them- and when I posted about this a while ago, someone suggested that it could be because I was subscribed to too many threads and to go through them

but then the forum wouldn't let me delete the subscriptions in groups, and I just couldn't be asked to delete them 1 by 1

lol

Is it in your Promotions folder? Our email system shows that we are successfully delivering them to your email address.... so they should be there, somewhere...

This happens to me ever so often. I don't get the emails, then they start again. Pretty sure it's cause my iPad is old and so is my email. Right now they've stopped again. I use old emails to go to the site and have faith they will return.

something else that I find really strange is that when I do go to my subscriptions folder, their's not even any mention of the fact that I'm subscribed to the forums

(or is that normal for everyone.)

They weren't in promotions or social or any other tab but they did seem to have mysteriously returned today. Hopefully it lasts and the rest of you get yours too!

Gmail has 3 tabs on its' main page: one that is where most of your mail you want goes, social where random things pop up like youtube notifications, and promotions where ads and right now in the US lots of political crap goes. Every so often it uses the wrong filter and something goes to the wrong tab.

@raging vortex

What I've learned so far is that you get automatically subscribed when you post under the thread, or if you begin a new thread. Sometimes you have to go back to your settings to see if you are getting the automatic subscriptions or not.

You won't be automatically subscribed to a thread that you "thank" or "hug", however. You have to manually subscribe to that thread (I forgot how) or post a reply under that thread.

I hope this helps. ((((hugs))))

thanks.

I didn't even know about that tab (I use mozilla thunderbird for my emails, so hardly ever log in to actual GMail)

attentionThis is an old thread. You probably should not post your reply to it, as the original poster is unlikely to see it.
