I was wondering if i was doing something wrong or not:
When you mention someone do you need to type something before their @name? Ex: Hey @name or can you just say @name how are you? I could have sworn that it was making me have a word before it would be an official mention.

Ok check out my post in this thread. I did exactly what I did here above but it isnt a mention. Is it because here I started a thread and there I was responding to one? If I add a word like hello or hey it works. So on the threads I respond to the @name doesnt work, I have to go hey @name. what gives?

I replied to that same person and did a mention and mine worked
Fonts in your attempt of a mention look weird though. Not regular fonts |

I've been wondering about the same thing. I've done the @name but nothing happens. I'll try it here: @sarahsweets
