Hi!

When I try to connect to this site, I often get one of two types of responses which do not allow me to connect with this site. (This may be an issue external to this site; however, this only occurs when navigating to PC,)

The first responses are fake pages, telling me that "this site" recommends I do the following:

I fix my Windows program, which is severely damaged and may be beyond repair.

OR:

My "Norton" has expired and it's critical I renew now.
(I don't have Norton.)

The other notice I get, which also obstructs connection is:

TLS security is not up to date on this site.

My browser is Microsoft Edge.

Thanks in advance for any feedback!

1. We do not show any pages other than the forums. If you're seeing "fake pages," that suggests something is up with your computer, such as malware or a virus. (If it were a site-wide problem, we'd have dozens of reports of this issue. Nor can we reproduce it on any of our computers.)

2. We're running TLS v1.3, the latest and last version of TLS. Not sure why your Microsoft Edge browser says otherwise. When I browse the site with Edge, I get no such warning. This also suggests a problem specific to your computer or connection.

Hope this helps...

Are you logged in when this happens? Or does it happen before you log into the forums?

I use Safari browser on my Mac, and sometimes get similar warnings about some Web sites. I think it may be due to their "certificates" not being kept up to date, or some similar lack of best security practices by them.

An update:

The notice that your Window program has been compromised and is in need of replacement is thought to be "ADWARE."
For some reason it occurs when I am here...both before and after I am signed in. However , it is currently thought to be an Adware scam.

Thanks, DocJohn and All!
