Hi, I'm having a persistent problem with the above.
My avatar picture posts, my signature picture posts. But when I try to post a picture in the text field where I would normally type, what comes up is a long narrow text box with a question mark in the middle of it. This occurs both in Safari and Google Chrome. I've tried Firefox too. My Operating System is Apple OSX El Capitan and I'm using an IMAC desktop. I've tried experimenting with this is different forums and the same thing happens. Yes, I've tried clearing the cache and restarting the web browser, multiple times. Any ideas? Thanx.... __________________ |

Thanks BlueKoi, for responding.
Yes I have tried both the attachment and typing of the URL techniques and neither works. Ive also looked this problem up on the net and find that it’s somewhat known among Apple users. Among these it’s known as The Blue Square Of Death and they say there is 0 that Apple can do about it. Perhaps not too surprisingly, they put it back on the Webmaster. Oh well... I will certainly look into your last 2 suggestions though. Be well. 🙂 __________________ |

Hi @Mopey,
Are you just typing/pasting the image url straight into the text field where you normally type? Or are you [on this website] entering the url into the 'insert image' function? Sorry if that sounds like a silly question. |

Not silly at all, Mote, I appreciate the thought.
No, I'm not just trying to copy & paste. Not at this point. I've tried all versions of putting the URL into the "insert image" function including typing it out letter by letter, BB by BB. Yesterday after blundering around by myself I managed to insert an image from my album into the text field via the attachment function, but I couldn't work with it there. I wanted to make it much bigger but I couldn't. And my signature is bigger than I want, but I can't seem to make it smaller. What with one thing and another I feel my sanity (such as it is) slowly departing. __________________ |

@Mopey
Yes, technical issues can surely bring one to rack & ruin, all right. Been there, too! Sounds like you're making headway though. Could you try resizing your images using a program, prior to uploading them? - if you haven't tried it already. Hang in there Mopey. You'll nail it. |

I use this to upload pics because it generates code that allows me to post in the text box. __________________ "I carried a watermelon?" President of the no F's given society. |

I have had problems posting photos, sometimes able, often not, so I've let trying go....every once in a while I try, no luck. (photos from my files)

Thanks Sarah - I'm going to try this later when I get time. I clicked on Winter's link above and got a full-screen picture of a raccoon!

Not yet Sarah, I've been super-occupied with taxes. But will get back to the picture situation eventually... Then will try.
