i get very confused by new sites. some things i take literally and some like i’m just too slow to ever understand and as a result i don’t understand things like terminology. like i never heard of BBcode before and already getting overwhelmed i can’t find info on it anywhere. the BBcode seems an essential part of using a trigger warning code so i’m doubly confused. i just realized that i have not introduced myself but since i believe what i have to say is likely triggering i am afraid to post. i also feel like i’m posting this concern in the wrong place. am i? hoping to find out what to do.

Hi @extirpatealone. Welcome to Psych Central. Sorry you are confused by some terminology. Actually I have been here 5 years and BBcode was a new one for me until I saw the explanation on wikipedia

BBCode
BBCode or Bulletin Board Code is a lightweight markup language used to format posts in many message boards. The available tags are usually indicated by square brackets surrounding a keyword, and they are parsed by the message board system before being translated into a markup language that web browsers understand—usually HTML or XHTML.Wikipedia

Since I do not see anything triggering in your post you need not worry. If you need to use it in the future it is this
[TRIG-GER]material that you think might be triggering[/TRIG-GER]
I inserted hyphen so you could see the code. Remove the hyphen when using and you would see this

Possible trigger:
