Hi there!

Does anyone know how to turn off "night mode?" It started happening just this morning, and it makes it difficult for me to read the forum.

Thanks!

I use a PC and it has night mode. I believe it's when you set your computer to be less bright at a certain time of the evening. ???

bottom right hand corner of your screen is a square. clicking on that square will open a pop up that says settings, night light and so on. if you cant click ion night light to open the settings, click on all settings. then in all setting click systems displays then turn the night light off.

Switching from Google to Firefox fixed the problem for me. I couldn't find any icon, in the bottom right, and I didn't feel comfortable monkeying with the settings. Using Google, the background color of my screen went to solid black. Is that what "night mode" does?

just in case it happens again ... the icon I directed people to in my above post is on the computer monitor screen not in google or foxfire and so on.

the icon I am talking about is lower right hand corner of the monitor. you will see the windows 10 task bar at the bottom of your desk top screen go across where you see the clock that tells you what time it is an under that is todays date. to the right of that is a square that looks like a monitor screen.

clicking on that square to the right of the clock and date opens where you get your windows 10 notifications and at the bottom are options to click on. mine says tablet mode, location, night light and all settings. clicking on the words all settings brings open a page where I can turn the light on and off.

I've been using the Night Light feature to remind me not to start any projects that could keep me up all night.

I use Windows 10. If I ever need to change my Night Light settings, the fastest way I know to get to them is to start typing "night light" into the search box at the bottom left of my screen:

Turn off night mode?

Then click on "Night light" (highlighted in blue) in the search results:

Turn off night mode?

If that search box weren't there I'd have to click on the "Start button" (Windows icon) to the left of it, scroll down to Settings, and choose "System", then "Display", then "Night light settings".

.

Use firefox instead of google for your browser. If the fonts on your posts are very small, click the A/A icon on the top right corner of the "reply" window. (Not the top right of your computer screen.) Good luck.

I found the night light setting. Turns out it's not what's making my computer screen black. Changing to Firefox works for me. Obviously I'm not the only one with the black screen problem.
