after I logged in today from the homepage, it took me directly to the search without me doing anything to encourage it.

and I saw the message.. your search returned no matches

well: of course it didn't, because I didn't search anything to begin with

it was strange, and it's only the first time it's done that

Something similar to that happened to me, too. But I was in the process of writing a post when it happened. I was removed from the post & when I tried to get back I received a message like yours. So then I started over on my post.
