When I try to change my info in the "about me" section of my profile it says that the server failed to respond in time, right away, and to try again. When I try again, it does nothing. This has been going on for days, that I have at least noticed.

Especially clearing your brower's cache and cookie settings for mysupportforums.org? Because it sounds like your browser has cached an older version of that page...

I have noticed many things have changed since the buy out and the forums being on their own as my support forums instead of being psych central.

one of those changes is ow to work the profile. with trial and error I discovered the way to change the about me is....

at top of page click on the word "profile"

on the page that it changes to click on the left side where it says "edit your details"

then scroll down until you see the box for writing your "about me" information.

write what you want in the box

then scroll down to the bottom and save changes.

Hi. This morning I tried 1-5 on that list and it still was a problem for me. I then remembered that a little while back, I changed the forum "skin" color to teal/black, because I'd had trouble with large ads with the regular forum color. That was it. It appears that depending on the forum skin / color that was chosen, I was able to / or not able to edit my about me page.

Amandalouise, very little has changed other than the name when it comes to the technical usage of the forums.

You're welcome and thank you! In my fiddling with this yesterday, I tried tulip and black too, and both did the same thing. The original skin / color I did not have an issue with.

thanks. and on that note maybe add the psych central theme to the list of skins / themes that dont work right for the all the profile options. for every one of them I cant do it through the profile by clicking on my name. this includes about me, location, interests, occupation, blog journal title, blog journal url, and all the "my mental health concerns"

when clicking on the pencil do hicky, it says the server failed to respond in time try again. when you try again it doesnt do a thing but bring up the same notification. or nothing at all.

in order to edit any of those you have to use the process I listed in my post above for each of them.

it also has a problem with everything in the ratings options. says it cant access. this is also on the psych central skin/theme and has been happening since the change over.

Thanks for being specific in where you were encountering these errors -- it helps a lot! We were able to identify all of these issues and hopefully fix them....

All of these should now be fixed (you may have to reload the page or clear your browser's cache to see the changes).
