Someone I had on block was able to respond to an OP of mine. I thought if you had someone on block, they could not respond to a thread you start? This person's message did show up so that I couldn't see what they wrote unless I "unhid" their message. I'm not comfortable giving any specifics and if you want to know more, like which thread, who, etc, please private message me. I just wanted to let you know, and was wondering if something changed on this site. Thanks.

You mean "ignore", right?

I believe ignore does not work in Tapatalk.

Another example where it wouldnt work is if admin had restarted your thread to make it available to everybody because they deemed it public / general.

If you had to unhide to see the comment, i would guess the latter happened.

Unless everything has changed!

Ignore works exactly as you described, except when another member -- not you -- uses the mobile app Tapatalk. Tapatalk unfortunately does not support that extended ignore functionality of the site.

So if the member tried responding to your thread on a laptop or similar computer, they wouldn't have been able to. But since some members access and interact with our forums via Tapatalk, they can.

We've looked into fixing this, but since Tapatalk is an external app service that we're just using to help make the mobile experience easier, there was no way to do so. Sorry for the inconvenience.

It's unfortunate. I hope you keep looking into ways to fix it in the future.

I posted or thought I posted a reply, but it's not here. Have to start all over.

I'm still pretty new to Tapatalk and smartphones, but on my version an ignored person's posts show as "spoiler"and is hidden, but it depends on what screen I'm on! It's still trial and error for me. This might depend on what version you have, as there's a Taptalk Pro. But as far as I know, that one is merely ad free, so it won't be free to user.

The hidden posts come and go, so not sure how it works on Tapatalk. I'm not tech savvy anyway.

Tapatalk makes posting in forums much more user friendly on a phone and tiny screen, but many features aren't visible. You can do PM's and forums, but visitor messages, friend requests, mentions, statistics, etc. don't show.

You can thank someone but not hug them. The thanks shows as a heart, when I thought it was for hugs. You can see thanks on your posts or others, but it doesn't show WHO thanked them. Just FYI.

I don't use Tapatalk unless I can't get on a computer, which sadly is most of the time. But glad to have it when I really want to post. I do check the site first to view replies and see thanks/hugs.

Tapatalk makes you create a user name and password for the app, then you log in to these forums.

On the site, someone on ignore can't post in your thread. They can't even quote someone in your thread, because it's "counting" it as their post, it just happens to contain a quote from someone.

Also, as far as I know, an ignored member can still thank or hug you in your post, but can't PM/VM you or post in a thread you started.
