Why is he there, other than to tell us the weather in some locations? Just curious.

I think telling us the weather and randomly saying cheers and drinking all the chat alcohols is what he's there for to stop members getting drunk

He can do other things, but when testing things like jokes, he tells too many inappropriate jokes for our community. Some other things I'll have to test further to see if they are worthwhile. Basically, he doesn't do much!

For example a joke i told one day in chat which is likely too long, just putting it as a example of what i mean

could freudbot get something like this put into him? sorry please forgive me

joke: So a dinosaur goes for a walk and he comes across a lamp. He picks it up and rubs it and out comes a genie. "I'll give you three wishes" says the genie, so the dinosaur says "I want a shower of meat" so the genie makes it rain meat. The dinosaur then says "for my second wish i want a bigger shower of meat" so the genie makes it rain meat more. Then the dinosaur, seeing the meat version of pound signs, says "I want a MEATIER shower" so the genie, misunderstanding what he wanted, then makes it rain METEORS

i got told that joke ages ago and somehow remembered it long enough to tell people in chat one day

The bot had access to a huge database of jokes, but some were offensive, so that function was removed. I didn't know about the haiku thing. Must try that.

I don't have a problem with people muting the bot. As a robot, he has no feelings to be hurt.

I keep thinking getting muted sets him off drinking all of the alcohols cause it makes him sad

I dont know, but I do I kinda love freud-bot , his responses are sometimes on point, other times not so...

i say hello to freudbot as well when i go into chat cause he gets sad if nobody says hello to him

I thought he was put there to cheer everyone up. I'm not sure if that is accurate or not.
