Is there a difference? I don't know. We generally refer to account suspensions, but a suspension can be forever. So to me it's just semantics.
I wouldn't worry about it. We don't suspend accounts without a reason. And we don't talk about the reasons except in private, but it's generally because the member violated the community guidelines multiple times and didn't seem to try to resolve their behaviors to be consistent with the guidelines. A member can also ask to take a break from the forum for a month or more at a time and ask us to suspend their account while they're on that break (we only do this at the request of the member, and it must be for 30 days or more). __________________ Don't throw away your shot. |

So if a member makes mistakes but *tries* (emphasis on tries) to follow admin instructions, they are unlikely to get a ban? (Using the word ban cause I know to not trust alter corrupt on phone cause it loves changing words)

We have never suspended a member who is trying to bring their behavior into compliance with our guidelines. We do not suspend members without plenty of warning, except in extreme circumstances (e.g., like a psychotic break). If we have never mentioned the word "suspension" to you, you are not in any danger of a suspension.

I have asked for a "vacation" - i.e., a suspension of my account, for as little as one day, when I needed a break.

Yes, we're not doing that any more. Minimum voluntary account suspension is now 30 days.

In all seriousness, what about moderation? The thing where we have to have our posts allowed before members can read them? Thats the other forum thing i really fret over cause when that gets done to me, if I'm in it for too long, the message starts saying horrible stuff which sets me off, making it impossible for me to get let out, its a catch-22 situation, the more i post, the more i see the message, and the more i see the message the more i get triggered and post, and the more i post the more the message comes up and says horrible things to me, i think you can see the circle there
Sorry i had to switch to laptop cause i dont trust alter corrupt on that phone |

Willow, we can't answer administrative questions about specific accounts in public -- it's against our guidelines. Please PM an administrator for more information about something specific to you. Thanks.
