Hi,
My inbox has over 500 PM's in it. Way too many. I want to delete all the old ones, but I'm getting nowhere with trying to figure out how to do so. I ticked the little boxes until my eyes were sore, clicked on "delete" on the drop-down menu, and nothing happened. If someone wants to explain to me how to do it, I'd sure be appreciative __________________ |

No box ticking needed!
The top box controls what folder is displayed. There is an italicized phrase in that top box that says "Empty folder". Hit that. |

You could also select messages and then pull the drop box and click “delete selected messages”

Did you press the "Go" button next to the drop down after you selected "Delete"?

I delete old PMs one at a time. That's why my box is chronically nearly full. I have no plans to change that yet. (or probably ever)
I second Doc John's post. I think unaluna's suggestion might result in ALL the PMs being deleted, not just the older ones, but I could be wrong. I did similar once somewhere else. I lost a whole lot of stuff I had wanted to keep. I would agree with Divine's post - ''delete selected messages'' __________________ |

Thanks, folks. I don't think I noticed a "go" button, but I'll look for it. Wish me luck!

Yep, it was that little "Go" button that did the job. Except that I was sailing along, deleting away - and did exactly what I meant not to do, which was deleted PM's from this week. *sigh*

Thanks, willowtigger. All of my PM's are gone (due to my lack of tech skill), but now some new ones are coming.
