When a member has to have their posts checked first before they appear on the forum, is it the same in chat? They have to have a chat mod check everything before allowing it in chat? How does that even work in a chat room? I confused ?

Shh willowtigger you not want to get the thing done to you so shh confusion not allowed when it gets done its meant as a "lets harm her" thing got nothing to do with behaviour so shh

Hi willowtigger,

I think the difference is that the forum is proactively moderated (mods act to make sure that nothing rude or seriously controversial gets through) whereas the chat is moderated after the fact.

If something is said in chat that causes problems, then the moderators can respond and remove.

You're quite right in that it wouldn't work to have a moderation queue as such for the chat.

You've nothing to worry about with your posts, though.

We do not "check everything being allowed in chat," either with new members or existing members. We are all volunteers here, so there is nobody here 24/7 monitoring chat or other areas of the site.

New members must make a certain amount of approved posts to the forums before being able to access the chatrooms. This verification method has been working well for us for over 2 decades. Cheers.
