Are these forums private (if someone looks up my email) can they find this forum ? Reason being . I really need advice and I really don't want any trouble around it.

MSF is a public forum but your email is kept private.

As far as giving advice, we are a community of peers and so in general, if you want professional advice, a professional can be of great benefit.

If you want to share information that is of highly personal information, some people prefer to send a personal message to a person. These are private. For example, if you click on my name in purple on the left of this post you will get a drop down menu that says "Send Private Message to CANDC" Click on that and a blank message box pops up and you can put in a subject and type your message in the body. Be sure to scroll down and click on Submit Message green button to send it.
