How do I totally clear my visitor messages. I don't want to see this:

This message has been deleted by mar dhea.

I want the page cleared entirely. Must be possible?

My profile, edit options, at the bottom of the 2nd bordered box, it refers to visitor messages. I have both boxes unchecked. Visitor messages made me anxious! So i now do not get or give visitor messages. Im not sure if thats overkill or what you want also.

And dont forget to save changes at the bottom of the page.

Hi U! I only want to be able to delete things and not have the "this message has been deleted by..." stuff left over. I'm ok for now with getting a note if one's coming but I want the option of cleaning the thing out in totality if I want to. I have a lot of old notes from a friend who isn't here anymore and sadly would like them removed. Without the "been deleted by...' stuff. Maybe it's something only an administrator or moderator can do?

Oh i see. I just looked and all my old messages are still there. I tried deleting one, and the "soft delete" button does not press off. So it just leaves a rather harsh replacement message, given the circumstances.

Dr john should answer soon, maybe not over the weekend.

Sorry, there's no mechanism for members to physically remove those messages. Only the member whose visitor wall it is sees those message, nobody else does.

Thanks DocJohn. I did not know this. I thought anyone who visited my profile page could see visitor messages.

I was talking only about the "This message has been deleted by so and so..." message, not about visitor messages in general.
