Is there anything that can be done about people who take over certain forums and make the entire thread about themselves and their problems?

Isn’t it the purpose of this forum? People make threads about their problems? Or you mean they go on other peoples threads and make it about themselves?

I mean some of the check ins. A lot of it is just focused on one or 2 people

But anyone can post, it's not the fault of the people who are posting that others aren't. There are so many check-in threads that some are bound to be more populated than others.

It might be focused on two people if two people are posting more than others. No one prevents anyone else from posting. Some people post more than others. I don’t understand the issue.

I’m sorry you feel that way. I hope I’m not one of them.

As others have said, there's no reason other than the fact that other members choose not to post to a check-in thread. We can't make members participate in a thread, and limiting posting in such a thread would kind of defeat the thread's purpose.

Keep in mind that some of our forums are fairly inactive and that may also impact these kinds of threads' participation levels.
