Hello. I'm new to the site. Please forgive me if I'm interrupting.
If someone has a few moments to explain to me how this Site works. I would appreciate.

Hi @Sacrificed Child welcome to MSF. This is primarily a mental health support site where you can post about your situation or reply to others' threads.. You posted fine to a thread about hurricanes but this forum is better for questions.

What drew you to MSF?

Please include @CANDC in your message so I see it.

The great thing about this site is that you really can’t interrupt. People here are fantastic and open minded. Just go to the thread forum of the topic you are interested in and browse. Post a comment or question like you did here or start a thread of your own. Don’t worry if it’s not quite in the right spot someone will help.

Welcome

Hello @CANDC. What brought me here is I have a handful of questions. Some are very sensitive. And shouldn't be just spouted off. Haha. No need to upset others.

Hi @Sacrificed Child that is very considerate of you to think of others feelings. If you prefer to not discuss in forums that is fine. I am a Community Liaison and I can try to address your questions and let you know where on MFS your questions may be appropriate.

To reach me by personal message click on my name to the left of this post and you will see a drop down menu. On the menu select Send a Private Message to CANDC .

Welcome, @Sacrificed Child!

There is a way to mark a part of a post with a trigger warning if you think the content will upset others. The part that's marked won't appear unless a user clicks to show it.

You can also select the trigger icon for the entire post. However that doesn't hide anything, AFAIK.

I'm so silly, I just realized I could've demonstrated how the "trigger-marked" content looks:

Possible trigger:

Hope this helps!

Hi Sacrificed Child. Welcome to MSF!

If you are uncomfortable posting about what's going on with you right off the bat, you could try posting about every day kind of stuff. The social chat forum and its sub-forums is nice for that.
