Scared to post but will anyway. I can’t remember the last time I used Tapatalk and have always stayed signed in (on Tapatalk) on my iPhone. Occasionally I like to use it because it’s more user friendly for a tiny screen. Today I noticed it hasn’t updated my activity since October last year. Old notifications and deleted items appeared. When trying to sign in to MSF, it said forums not responding and try later. And I did. Many times.

I tried restarting my phone, clearing the cache and signing out of Tapatalk. That was a mistake. When trying to sign back in, it said system error!

In desperation I tried using the browser, Safari, to log in. THAT worked!

I know the forum is still supported because I saw someone posted from Tapatalk. But I don’t know other details like technical stuff they are using.

It could be because I didn’t do the latest stupid iOS update but I don’t have WiFi which it requires to install. I have to wait until I can get to either the library or senior center where it’s free.

Not essential since I’m way more proficient with this phone now but it was an option. I hate technology a lot of times now.

Sorry you had a problem @nonightowl that sounds like an annoyance. I do not use Tapatalk so cannot say what may have gone wrong unless yoiu never changed over from Psych Central to MSF. That is the only thing I can think of.

Everything seems kosher on our end, in terms of tapatalk still working. I can read and post from the app just fine, as apparently can others... Sorry, I don't know much about the app, but they do have their own support forums for issues here: Mobile App - Tapatalk Support Group

@CANDC I don’t know what you mean by not moving over from PsychCentral. I installed it in 2021 and it has always worked until now…..

And on that note I was able to just now log into Tapatalk app and also into MSF separately. I finally did the software update on Saturday so maybe that was why. Of course another prompt update is already showing up.

Glad they have their own support but I wanted to post here first.

The browser uses way more data than the Tapatalk app and I don’t have unlimited data. From what I’ve read the app has had a lot of issues going back years. Anyway for some reason it seems to be working at the moment……
