Still at it.
Since I had wiped the harddrive, I had to download the 54 updates that Vista lacked (haven't checked if the SP1 was one of them.) After that, I had to download the McAfee program (which was part of the initial problem...I did so leerily. Then I had to download the network magic... and now have that on both computers ![]() But they aren't talking. The host computer gave me a different network name A (my own network, and not the one listed on the wireless network search B, (also mine but different name). It gave me all the details of what the other computer needs to know to sign on with this network A. But this one isn't showing on the wireless networks availability listing, and the other is (B). So I've tried both hex keys and names accordingly... and they're not talking yet. ![]() The network repair only wants to repair a ROUTER connected connection. ![]() If I'm providing enjoyment for anyone, sure would like to know that... ![]() ![]()

Well NOW I've done it
![]() Neither computer will see the network now ![]() Had some "expert" help IRL...paper note only... eh. I had forgotted to also reset the modem and not just the router...but it didn't help yet. ![]()
