I just wrote a long and detailed post and when I went to submit it I found that I had been logged out so I logged back in and then lost my post

I understand being logged out when I am not actively using the site but why while I am writing a post? It does takes me a very long time to compose a post...is there anyway to avoid this happening while I am posting or at the very least avoid losing my post if I do end up being logged off?

Thanks,

PhoenixRising55

Yes, that happened to me a lot, particularly at a certain time of day. In the end I found that if you tick the 'Remember Me' box then you don't lose your post.

That sounds hopeful...now where is the Remember Me box?

Thanks

When you log in there is a little box with a question saying, 'Remember Me?' Tick that. I found that, even if you do get logged out, it remembers you and the post you were trying to send.

If you are doing a really long post which you definitely don't want to lose, you could do it on 'notepad' and then copy and paste it.

This happens to me too. Ticking the remember me box (which I don't like doing) also helped though.
