I've discovered that the blue check marks mean that I'm subscribed to a particular message (if that's the right word) ... but I can't find how to subscribe or unsubscribe ... any tips on this?

Hey Troy,

Go here: http://forums.psychcentral.com/profi...do=editoptions (in your profile) and scroll down to Default Thread Subscription Mode, and from the drop-down menu, pick "Do not subscribe". (And don't forget to press SAVE CHANGES!!)
