I am wondering what has changed with the spell checking. Up until about a week ago, I was able to click on the ABC with the check & it would go to a spell check program & check out all my misspellings.

Just this last week, (I have changed absolutely nothing on my computer) when I click on the spell check option, Internet explorer comes up with a little window that states:

ieSpell is a spell-checking tool for IE. If you would like to download ieSpell, click OK; otherwise click Cancel. ieSpell can be downloaded from http://www.iespell.com

Why isn't the just plain spell checking working anymore......what am I missing........this is a huge DUH moment for me as my spelling or more like my typing is horrible.....just like things to be as correct as possible.

Thanks,
Debbie

We had to remove the spellcheck option that was available here on the forums because it caused a problem with the system and no fix is currently available.

Some web browsers allow for automatic spellchecking in any text box. Firefox, for instance, does this automatically so you don't need a separate program. I imagine something similar might be available for IE?

We apologize for this inconvenience.

No problem.....just wondered what had changed......I think I remember SeptemberMorn saying that she would loose posts when trying to do the spell check. That is a good reason for deleting it.

Thank you for your response....If nothing had changed, I was wondering if I was really missing something....or maybe going more crazy than I already am....lol.

I just downloaded & tested it & it works well, so now I won't have to be so careful about my lousy typing.

Appriciate the info.....thanks,
Debbie
