May we have a definition of the function of this new class of members, called "Community Liaisons" ?

Sure.

Our new Community Liaisons are a group of established members who are very familiar with PC as a whole, the administration and guidelines, and the site's mission.

PC can be very large, and even confusing, to new (as well as older) members. Many aren't aware of the many different facets of PC and all its offerings.

The Liaisons help bring the whole of PC to its members by greeting new members and linking them with any information, resources and support they show they're in need of when posting (anything from applicable blog articles to one of our many resources). They will also be helping to create and keep current useful sites and resources threads in forums as members share such information.

The Liaisons have offered to help new members in any way that's within their control to help them gain what they're in need of at the time of joining (when many are in the most need and might be feeling overwhelmed) and thereafter.

I would like to add that the liaisons, and all joining after this point, will be introducing themselves in a thread soon.

But one can always access the liaisons (also to view the list and to see who's online at any given time) by clicking on the "view forum leaders" at the bottom of the forums index (between the forums list and "who's online".

To contact any liaison, mod or admin, just view the forum leaders and click on their profile from there.

i think zorah would be a great Community Liaison. shes always helping out people and listens to plently of peoples problems and daily issues
