1) The ability to block particular members from PMing you.

Sometimes it is pleasant enough interacting with people on the boards (where there is accountability for posts that are posted publicly) but people can be a little harder to deal with by way of personal message. At present it seems that the only options for dealing with this are to put the member on ignore - which cuts off on board interaction, or to block all PM's which cuts off PM interaction with other posters. I know you can whine and complain about inappropriate PM's or you can simply ignore them but I would really appreciate a function where you could simply block PM's from particular people.

2) Non-Java based chat.

I don't have problems with this at the moment since I have broadband access at home but typically all my internet access is through a university wireless and they block Java based chat. I know that other members have had problems with accessing the current chat as well. I don't know how other members would feel but I personally would happily sacrifice features for better access. I know that this is on the 'to do' list and that the move to the new forum software was going to happen first but since the move has taken place I really hope the chat can change soon. There was one in particular that nobody seemed to have a problem with...

There is a feature that shows up on posts from people whom you have on ignore. It's on the right hand side of the box that says you have that person on ignore, "show post". That give you the opportunity to continue to ignore that person and decide which posts you want to read.

Thank you, that is very helpful, I didn't know about that. Still wish we had the feature, though...
