I don't understand why or how, or what to do to 'fix' it. But, when I go to chat now it's normal for a minute, but then freezes and others messages don't come up and my messages don't either.
I have the latest Java.
Anyone any suggestions?

Thanks,
Molly

Delete all cookies and temporary internet files.

that will give you room to be in chat.

Let me know if this helps

I've deleted temp files, cleared cache... don't know how to delete cookies but I'll have a look. But, it still keeps freezing on me.

It's working now. I'll check again when I come back from my dinner
(oh and I'm on a mac so I don't have a 'tools' option... but restarting my computer after clearing cache worked)
Thanks for your help

Hey that's ok
I'm normally alright at sorting computers out... I'll have a mess about, it's just annoying me though.
Thanks again for your help

this happens to us on a frequent basis too
& we are running a PC on Linux Ubuntu & have cleared all cookies & caches, rofl
we usually aren't too bad with computers either, but have no idea how to fix this

all you can do is sign out & sign back in again, if you are persistent it usually lets you stay eventually
also, one clue, if it won't let you type, sometimes if you right click your own user name & open a PM window in chat to yourself & activate the cursor there, sometimes it will let you type into the chat after that, we have no idea why but it works quite often

Still trouble with chat
I've done everything I can think of... cleared cache, deleted cookies, cleared history, I have checked for latest Java and I already have it... I've even changed browsers (I was on Safari and I'm now using Firefox)

Unfortunately, there's no other suggestions we have for you at this time.

Every single chat room we've researched and tested has had problems with various people and their browsers. While this one is far from perfect, it's been the most stable one we've used with the most features (many of which we need).

We'll continue to keep an eye out for future chat rooms that might work as a replacement for this one, but for now, sadly, we're keeping this one.
