I get the PC Newsletter by e-mail; I imagine pretty much everyone does. Today's e-mail arrived on schedule and with the right title ("Psych Central Newsletter for March 31, 2010") but when I opened it (and my browser said "Done"), showed nothing inside. I clicked Reload; same result. My other Yahoo e-mails haven't been arriving blank so I figured this had to be a problem with this particular mailing.
I did find a copy of this week's newsletter in the usual place. Before posting this, I went back to Yahoo to check on the size of the apparently-blank e-mail. It said "60KB" -- hardly empty. I clicked on the same item once more, and this time it displayed normally. I'm curious if anyone else has ever had this problem, and if there was anything in this week's issue that might have given Yahoo Classic (or Firefox 2) pause. |

It was probably written in white/invisible ink :-) If you're using a free service (Yahoo) I'd look there first; make sure my boxes didn't have too much in them, I'd check all my controls and make sure everything including graphics could show, etc. Did you change any of your controls lately for something else? I sometimes forget I've changed something and the next thing that comes in that doesn't "fit" surprises me until I remember and change back. Could be something unrelated to PC or Yahoo too, like your browser controls. Since Yahoo is a web email, your browser gets involved too.

There is nothing different about this week's newsletter, but glitches are known to occur in emails -- it is not a perfect medium (nor is any Internet service). That's why we provide an alternative way of viewing it online in case something does happen with your email provider's display of the newsletter.
We've received no other feedback/complaints about this week's newsletter edition, so I suspect it was a one-time glitch. Sorry about that. DocJohn
