Does anyone else with C-PTSD experience boredom? I get bored to death 24/7 and none of the stuff I used to enjoy interest me anymore. I also have pain all over my body during boredom.
So basically when I wake up(12 hrs sleep a day) I have pain all over my body and feel bored to death.. this continues on 24/7. So what kind of therapy helps with this... talk therapy or EMDR? or do they help at all? Last edited by rep97; Nov 27, 2014 at 05:50 PM. |

I don't suffer from boredom....sitting around doing absolutely nothing makes me feel safe. I can just cocoon myself away and lose time to nothiness. I have no desire to do anything else. doing things exhausts me. I enjoy my nothiness. therapy has helped me greatly. the key is to find a t that specializes in trauma. I wasted a lot of time working with a t who ran from treating my trauma and that caused a lot of difficulties for me. things are going much better with a trauma t, take care

I'm not often bored, though I have been having immense trouble in concentrating on things for months now. Sometimes I get restless so I can't keep still, though that's also difficult as my mobility is very restricted (I have arthritis).
To keep my mind off things I don't want to think about I tend to watch TV and play games like Solitaire or 2048, I can't usually concentrate enough to read a book. If you are having a lot of physical pain, I take it that you have had physical causes ruled out? Hope you find a solution soon. ![]() Bluegrey |
