So we recently had shootings at a downtown Wendy's and today they were at planned parenthood. This, in addition to world violence is really triggering me. I don't know if it's because I.don't.know.what to do.about.it or.if.it.reminds me.of.my brother's murder.

Either way, you can't fix the shootings. If you did not hear about the shootings you would not be worried about them. This is partly why we mostly avoid the news in our house. Yes, we may be avoiding, but if it upsets you, why put yourself through it? When you can, how about avoiding the news?

If the shootings were a trigger you might want to deal with the past event, maybe in therapy.
Thanks for this!
