I haven't been here in a long time, I need to remember where to post concerning PTSD acquired from a career in EMS. It has roots in a particular area. I thought there was forum specifically for Police, Fire and Medical. Now I see Complex? Right place?

in the USA there is no diagnostic label complex ptsd anymore. in general PTSD is a cover all diagnostic label for every form of trauma related symptoms. America doesn break up mental disorders according to what the perpetrators mental disorders, careers or disasters. mental disorders are more about a persons symptoms. you will find all the american mental disorders including those relating to trauma and stress in the first link at the bottom of my post.

Im guessing the reason why Psych central has a complex PTSD forum is because there may be members outside the USA here and in their locations outside the USA may still have a mental disorder called Complex PTSD.

to find out which of these PTSD symptom containing mental disorders you have you will need to contact your treatment providers.

As to where to post Im guessing anywhere you feel your problems fit best...so Im guessing if you are posting about your PTSD issues anywhere in the PTSD forums is ok.

I think the work and careers forum would be a good place to start. Or just the general PTSD forum. Both would be good places to get feedback.
