.. I have complex trauma instead of regular severe PTSD.

Hope this revelation leads to a treatment that works.

Thank you, Trace.

I'm being referred to our nation's best CPTSD-treatment center. I hope they want to help me even though I have other diagnoses also (mainly suicidal depression and Asperger's).

I hope it helps. Fwiw, going to a specialized trauma Center had been the first thing to help when I was spiraling really badly few years ago. Having someone versed in trauma treatment, and having that available, can be huge. The local doctors at several g hospitals had given up on me at that point. The trauma treatment center took a different approach, and actually offered therapy inpatient. It's the k only hospital (out of about 10 hospitals I've tried over the years) to offer intensive treatment w while trying to stabilize you.

Good luck. I hope it works out well for you.

The CPTSD-center, whose website claims they treat anyone no matter how ill or unstable they are, decided I was too unstable for their treatment.

Yes, it's our nation's best (C)PTSD-specialized center. Their website claims they basically treat everyone who fits the diagnosis who has had other treatments fail to bring relief. They claim they are not "scared" of "handling" ill people, they say they are THE ones who "dare" to do the difficult treatments when other therapists are "afraid" of "destablizing" people with CPTSD. But they don't live up to their website.

I'm not sure who did the actual diagnosing - my psychologist or my psychiatrist - but they both agree the diagnosis fits.

Now I know why their website claims such a high success rate.. they refuse to treat anyone who might bring it down.

Sorry, I'm bitter.
