Does anyone else get into a mode where you start to think our talk about something, then get lost in unrelated thought? I keep getting sidetracked and stumbling over myself when I try to respond... and it's difficult to make sounds come out of my mouth. It's like I get a spark of something, but then everything shuts down... :/

Dissociating, depressed, exhausted... yeah. All of that.

I seem to remember someone(you) warning me about the dissociation. Still don't get it that it's a bad thing. It was scary at first but now it's comfortable, I guess because I isolate so much and it doesn't matter what I do.

The dissociating can be a symptom of overwhelm, which is why I was cautioning around it.
It definitely can be comfortable, after all, it's a safety measure. I'm currently comfortably ensconced in my little dissociative, depressed, dark hole. It's very comforting. This darkness is safety, as opposed to the darkness I'm trying to run from... kinda a bit physically uncomfortable because of the pressure in my chest, and the constant urge to cry (headaches), but whatever. It's safe from the scarier stuff. |
