I love animals. Especially cats.
A dog broke her back. I live part time in Costa Rica and don't drive here. I had to have a guy drive over an hour and have vet hospital stay open late.
They needed to put "Come Here Batman" on an iv. Then they were going to put him in a cage. And just leave.
I said, no way. Took him and his little iv bottle home. 3 hours later poor guy died in my arms. I cried all night.
Later very despondent.
A neighbor suggested I volunteer with an animal welfare group that has a Foster Mom program to heal my grief.
Wow. At one time I hosted 19 orphan kittens in my home. Some newborn.

Thankyou for sharing! That was very touching, imagining you providing hospice care to the kitty. i respect anyone who values an animal's life so much.

Oh I'm so sorry, just watched my cat pass away last month, it was so triggering for me and I'm still struggling with it
