Has anyone applied for disability from SS for PTSD? Successful? I've been denied twice and I don't know what else to do.

I'm currently being evaluated for it to see if I'd have a chance at getting SSI. Thing is, I also have BP 1 (possibly with psychotic features), so I know that will influence it. On top of that, I've had to be hospitalized three times this year and they're already discussing a fourth that would take place in January. I also have a curtain medical history (cancer, two surgeries and a few other things).
Have you tried to get benefits through getting a lawyer? I hear that helps.

I've had a lawyer but wasn't impressed. Thinking about switching. But I only have 60 days to get all that done and get the medical paperwork.

Damn. That's a hefty load to take on. I think you can do it, but it'll take a lot of focus and attention to detail.

I'll give it a try or maybe I can find a lawyer that will do it. I get so stressed out reading a lot of paperwork, makes me dissociate and I have to start all over again. Mental Health people are not real crazy about giving their paperwork to clients. I will try though.
