Does anyone else have problems sometimes talking? It's like I'm talking in my head to someone but my mouth is not moving. It happens sometimes with writing as well. I will be writing something and leave out sections of the words, or sentences.
My thoughts are maybe from being isolated so much my communication skills are getting weak.
Anyone else experience this, or have any info on why this is happening?

Could it be from anxiety? I've never really heard anyone talk about this verbal issue with CPTSD so I'm not sure it is associated with that, but then again I'm not sure.

When I'm really anxious I stutter and slur my words. Forgetting is part of it too. I miss words when I write sometimes. It's if my typing can't keep up with my brain.

This is more or less the same for me. It's not anxiety, but more like 'micro-dissociations'. Those are weird, being present and absent at the same time. Sometimes stopping a sentence in the middle and 20 seconds later, starting up at that point. I feel like I get 'caught' by random focal points in the room and stuck there. If I'm stuttering a bit, it's more of a flashback deal for me.

Interesting term "micro dissociations". I will have to ask my T about this next time and see if we can get some professional insight on it. I don't remember having these lapse of verbal skills when I was younger.....hmmmmmm.
It's funny we have never talked about this here and never ran across anything about this happening with PTSD/CPTSD.

Trace, actually this can happen with PTSD/Cptsd. I am not surprised you have seen in happen when you write too. I have seen several different members do this, noticed it in myself as well.

It can happen if your mind is going too fast (hypervigilance). It can happen if you are distracted when your mind is distracted while remembering while typing something too.

Something else can happen too, I call it a crisscross where I am interacting with someone about a challenge they were having that I had similar experiences with in my past, or that brought forward challenging experiences from my past and I begin typing that in. A couple of times a member got angry with me, "why did you say that?" and I had not noticed until I was able to review it. Then I would try to explain it and apologize. This can be similar to what you are describing of the conversation happening in your mind and it doesn't come out right when you are writing.

IMO, it's good if you are recognizing that because the key to reducing reminders that come forward is acknowledging them. It just gets awkward when others don't understand what is happening and get angry.

I guess I was thinking this was more a personal issue rather than something connected with PTSD/CPTSD because I have never seen anything on this. No one has mentioned it either. But yes, now that we know we share this and that it is a possibility with our conditions we can talk to others about it. Talk to our providers about and see if we can address the cause.
