I found this on my FB feed and was amazed.

https://healingfromcomplextraumaandp...han-is-needed/

I write in my journal with spaces between my thoughts. After I read this, I realized that most of my post here on PC are written like that too.

Just thought it was interesting and wanted to share it.

I totally agree. I sometimes type in big blocks, but as far as me reading them it is too over whelming. Also I space to separate my thoughts. Give each one their own space. Thanks for posting this, it's interesting.

I find large paragraphs rather hard to read. I'm skimming through it trying to find what's important. I also line space when I write, breaking paragraphs apart into readable chunks. Like I'm trying to scan the horizon for threats, I can't be focused into one big thing.

Omg! I was totally compulsive about line spacing and column aligning my work as a computer programmer. SOME Managers would yell at me to "not waste time" lining stuff up, but i was very fast, and it was faster to code lined up, because you often only had to change a few characters per line, you didnt have to type out each line uniquely.

But what is interesting to me is that, an unaligned messy program would make me practically hysterical, whereas i recently unearthed one of my last programs, and it was like i was looking at a work of art, it was just so beautiful and harmonious and calming. Like a Monet. Or a Manet. but seriously.

I do have a hard time reading large blocks of text, especially on on computer, but I have always attributed that to my natural ability to speed read. When I read paper books, I often have to use a pen, pencil or highlighter to underline the text to slow myself down so I don't don't go into speed reading mode (unless I'm skimming).

It's hard to speed read on a screen. I don't think I've ever used extra line spacing though.

It's a very interesting topic.
