The following took place in a Muslim North African country in the mid 1960's. I was 7 to 8 years old. I was at play of some sort, with a fellow playmate, in a vacant !ot close to home. At some point we realized that someone was throwing bricks and large stones at us. We looked up and a group of teenage and adult Muslims were throwing large stones at us from a rooftop. This was done without cause or warning, without cause or warning. They were much bigger than us. We had never seen them before. Stoning is not just a weapon of choice, it is a Sharia designated methodolgy of killing infidels, apostates, and various types of folks. Well one of the stones hit me in the head, blood started to gush from the wound and I was knocked out having sustained a concussion. I was dizzy for days. I could very easily have been killed that day. Now I instinctively look up to rooftops. I know, not third hand, not second hand, but first hand that death can come from rooftops. This experience has made a contribution to my CPTSD and Intermittant Explosive Disorder. I may be among the first Americans who was nearly stoned to death by Muslims. Shalom.

Really sorry that happened. When you combine cultures it can be very scary. Thank goodness you were not hurt any worse than you were. Glad you are back in the USA where you don't have to worry about that anymore. But I'm sure that was very traumatizing for you.

You are ríght, Trace, particularly when one is a culture of death. I hope that this is not too much reality. Sorry..

It's not, though most people don't realize that different cultures can be dangerous to other because of beliefs. I'm sure there were other's that were not so fortunate to survive. That's really sad.

I and my brother were once suddenly accused of doing something -- I am not sure what it even was -- once at school by other classmates. These were not Muslims or any other alien group, but regular Americans. We did not get stoned, but just attacked verbally. So I don't think this sort of thing is confined to some "other" hated group. I suspect someone was trying to shift blame onto us, as we were not totally regulars in town, to cover their own misdeeds. But I never knew what the cause was, or what "crime" we were supposed to have committed.
