Men who abuse women 'use the same tactics as pedophiles and I've never met one who wanted to change', says author of How He Gets in her Head - Independent.ie

Today I had a positive perspective changing experience with my daughter . I got to see how independent she is and yet supportive in her own way. I know she will always be there for me despite our differences. I was shocked to see how strong my daughter is and I attribute that to my dedicating my life to her while she was growing up as I believe a mother should.

That was not the case for me. I was neglected, emotionally and mentally abandoned as a child and teen.

Although I ended my relationship with my child's father he did teach her some things my father never taught me.

I was amazed to see how hard my daughter is and how soft I am.

I can't imagine myself being treated right by a man at my age.
