The health board that covers the area where I live got put in special measures 2 years ago and still is (due to abuses against MH clients).

The MH service I was referred to had a ground-level change of staff, even since I started having dealings with them in 2014, but they still have abysmal communication skills and try to impose things that aren't necessarily in the best interests of their clients.
Everything I've read about this MH service and what I've personally experienced so far, makes me want to discharge myself with immediate effect, but that means totally going it alone. The reason I got referred in the first place was because I wasn't coping without support.
I keep telling myself that no MH support is better than bad MH support, but.... unsure....

That is tough, therapy is hard and sometimes gets worse before it gets better with even good therapist. Talk to the therapist about how you feel.Try to stick it out but if you can't do it then do what you think you need to do to protect yourself.. The therapist must have a supervisor. Go up the chain of command.
