I wish I could change the world

The injustices and cruelties in this world have me tired and sad

And scared

But I continue to .. “soldier on” as we have been “taught”

Just one day free from these flashbacks and memories and all that other stuff...would be cool. For now, I suppose that’s too much to ask

It is a lot to ask, especially since we can't control the actions of others, or the memories. The only thing we can do is address how we handle them. Break down the memory and feel the emotion and ask yourself are you safe now? How high are the chances of being a victim of any of these events? I get real triggered on people getting shot, these questions are some of what I ask myself as soon as I am able. Salute to the Bear soldier
