#whats the worst thing someone told you?

"Can't you just try to be more like....xyz"
"It was so hard and painful for me that you were there at my birthday, it had been so much easier for me if you weren't"
"Do you like pain?!" (with disgust in her voice)

The worst thing someone ever told me,I was mentally ill and in distress,I told my sister I was going to kill myself by throwing myself in front of a car.She told me,'you had better do it this time,don't get yourself picked up by police and taken to hospital and end up back with me cos you know how that always ends up!'.That is what she said,to go ahead and kill myself and make sure I do it cos ending back there with her means she would always make me ill and suicidal and abused until I am so desperate that I attempt to kill myself.Nice sister,eh?

You can't have your kids this week because

"Not even your real mother wanted you. She knew you would be disgusting and evil." -all through my childhood
"If you tell anyone [about the sexual abuse] you will get sent back to the place they keep the children nobody wants." -age 3

Both by my abusive adoptive father.

But why does that mean you can't have your kids? What has that got anything to do with it??

I am so sorry to hear this. maybe they are just trying to prevent your mother and your abuser from having access to your kids during the holidays.

heres something that worked for a friend of mine... make plans where you are not going to be around your mother where you can have the children... ie plan a supervised picnic, plan a supervised meeting place other than your mothers place or where your mother could show up.

When I was a child I was removed from my parents household while my parents and social services prosecuted my abusers. in order to have visitation with me my parents could not see me in any situation where I may accidentally or on purpose run into my abusers and those that allowed the abuse to happen. my parents instead of meeting me in that town and popular hang outs of the abusers and their friends planned things like picnics in other towns, a trip to the zoo, a shopping trip, all kinds of visits where I could still see them but not come in contact with the abusers.

maybe those that wont give you contact because of possible coming into contact with your mother can help you plan a visit somewhere some place where your mother cant be around.

What? Oh my god. I have no words. Horrible that therapist said that.

“You sound like the devil.”-Another school bully.
“Don’t just stand there like a mute!” -my dad.

Trigger“If your car breaks down, make sure you have a gun, better to shoot yourself quicker then freezing to death.“- My dad joking though.

Trigger “I bet you must want to **** your brother then?”-my brother’s girlfriend.

“You all of a sudden popping up and offering condolences is kinda insulting.” - My ex boyfriend’s ex girlfriend, after his mom passed, he and I were broke up before.

Get over it: Friends, family told me this so many times

my 1st day back to work after my husband had died i was saying something about the step kids and my boss says to me "those arent your kids anymore. their father is dead. they are nothing to you."

When I was 19, my mother told me that I lead men on without realizing it.
Wtf? To this day I still don't understand what she meant.

After being considered, I was told that I'm no Dorothy … was looked over as a munchkin extra and recasted into the Lolipop guild because I could tap dance. I would have much rather been part of the lullaby league but there weren't any males/boys who could step up to the plate.

Some nasty bloke told me I was better off dead,many many years ago when I was emotionally distressed and suicidal.

“What’s wrong with you, do you have brain damage?”
“Are you lazy or stupid?” (Both statements from former boss, and these statements were said to me when I was in the process of working full time and completing a master’s degree).

Also said to me, “if I was you, I’d be angry right now.” (I’m someone that shuts down unfortunately when someone is chewing me out, well especially, if that someone is my boss). (Now I did write down most of these nasty remarks and reported it to her supervisor).

People who make verbally abusive remarks have problems and it says nothing about you....and everything about THEM.

They said today uK is going remain in lockdown until September!Horrible thing to say let alone actually mean it!

You know there are much better ways to actually k*** yourself!!

Me knowing how unlikely it is successful and also thinking to myself, that I am trying everything to survive and I could not stop to hurt myself and risk my life but I did not intend to end it - just subconsciously...

We all have had a rough life, get over it. I have been told this lots by so called friends and family

I confided in a another girl she was the daughter of my mum and dad's friends that I felt suicidal and she turned round and said that's nothing we all feel like that from time to time it's normal and she then slammed her front door in my face.
