I have to meet with a lawyer today to file some papers to do with a long-past custody agreement that needs to be updated. I have literally put this off for 5 years out of fear. I have so much anxiety it's got to be pouring off me in waves.
But it has to be done. And so I'm making myself do it.
Boy could I use a good cry, haah!

Dear Toughcooki,

That sounds so incredibly stressful. I would probably be having rolling panic attacks in that situation. I am so sorry you are having to endure this anxiety!

Thank you. Very very very stressful. Over for the moment, but once the papers get filed, I'll be bracing myself literally every day, waiting for the other shoe to drop. Ugh.

I understand how you feel. I feel like this all the time when I am around legal system
