I listened to an economic professor with good insights into the US issues. I should not have done this. I got the idea to move to Mexico. Clearly my ptsd was going in fight flight. My husband and I argued again about collapse of society. Bottom line had to call crisis line for me. Felt worthless not wanting to live. He removed the weapons from our front room so I have a safe space. The hypervigilance causes the brain to keep looking for more negativity. He has called me weak in denial for not keeping up with current events. He believes everyone should. I have an appt with a psychiatrist on 11/30 to discuss a change in my anti depressant. This was not responsible to let my fear escalate to this point. In my past family of origin others called me weak a coward you are running away from your problems. My next appt with my therapist is 12/5. I also have a seizure risk my anti epileptic med the blood level is not therapeutic. Will need to discuss this and a change with neurology.

"not keeping up with current events" sounds like advice from a good therapist.

When I turned on NPR first thing in the morning and heard an upsetting report on the situation about Israel / Gaza, I switched on some music.

Will knowing or not knowing about the situation change it? No, of course not.
