Have to bear with the host speaking as she was flooded with anxiety at the thought of dying from COVID back when the pandemic was in full effect

Mornin'. Today I've merged my changes for a bug fix I left to review from last week. In 15 minutes I will start my week. As always, Mondays call for a decaf Americano with oat milk and a croissant 🥐. Followed by work. Followed by lunch and a decaf oat latte, followed by more work and, finally, followed by dinner and rest.

A somewhat successful day. Why is it one thinks one will spend an hour on an issue just to end up spending almost the entire day implementing it? Also, some tests are failing and, for the love of the universe, I can't tell why. They should succeed as I'm comparing two identical objects. Other tests in the same.form succeed, just these three don't.

I'll try.a tactic tomorrow morning to see.if it does the trick. Until then, it's relax time.

me to a T.

Also, debugged my failing tests and realized what is happening. It's more complicated than first thought.

The day came to a close. It was ok. I managed to get some issues done. Discovered and fixed some bugs. Opened other issues with further things discovered. Tried all my arsenal on the failing tests, couldn't get them to pass. It's the database that behaves weird. Pending answer from the development team.

And now: time to relax. Tomorrow's a new day. I'll end this one with a soup (hopefully). The tofu wrap and a decaf oat latte I had today were awesome. Tomorrow morning I'll have my decaf Americano with oat milk and a croissant 🥐. Nice way to start the day. Hope I'll run into L. She's always so nurturing and just amazing. If I would've been in a better situation (read: not homeless) and not a sociopath I'd have married her.

Morning 🥱

Tested proposed fix by the development team of the database. It failed. Reported back and waiting for a reply. Didn't feel like switching to working on something else. I'll continue when I leave the shelter.
Besides, it's a lay back, relax, working week.

I still have to put my calendar entries in for next week, which, speaking of, I'll do right now! Thank you very much!

Here's for a, hopefully, great day.

Yawn. 🥱 Hej. Nothing much today. I was hoping for a reply from the database developer, however none came. I think I discovered a bug. Have to wait and see. Other than that, I started my morning by fixing a small issue. And my to-do list is almost empty. Except the tests that fail due to database bug. Will see what else I can pull to work on.

Today I'll have the tofu wrap. And... A FREE COFFEE. Yay! Tomorrow I'll meet with my friend and catch up on politics. Will probably discuss European politics and American politics.

Of course, as usual, the highlight will be on end of Saturday when time for Chana Masala comes. All relax until next week when holiday begins.

Happy 4th of July for all Americans.

Today was a great day. I managed to get quite a few things done. Most importantly, I worked around the database issue. Tests now pass and I have code coverage being generated.

Had the tofu wrap and a strawberry chocolate slice of cake. Then, the free coffee. Wrapped it up with a roast red pepper, pea and tomato soup. Awesome.

Tomorrow I'll take it easy. Some work in the morning. Relax. Some more work. Lunch (a soup with bread and vegan butter - fingers crossed there'll be soup), then some more work, then I'll be buying bananas and head to meet with my friend for a decaf coffee. Then relax and have dinner and conclude the day. Yay.

Another somewhat successful day. I was hoping to fix a bug it seems it's more complicated than first thought. This week I closed 23 issues. Hopefully, I'll close at least two more tomorrow. So, in all, it's not bad.

Meeting with friend got cancelled. He has to be there for the fixing of his boiler. We'll reschedule. I was hoping it would've been today. It'd have been nice to end my week meeting a friend just before holiday starts. Now, I'll probably have to squeeze in the meeting with him during holiday. Which, is not great, but also not impossible. Yet to be determined. Let's hope it'll be two weeks from now. Though, I wouldn't mind earlier either.

No CS papers from arXiv today. Which means I'm free. I left the library earlier today. Spent two hours in the morning working. Now I'm waiting for tomorrow's shining moment: Chana Masala after I'll have the awesome decaf Americano with oat milk and a croissant in the morning, followed by the super awesome tofu wrap and a decaf oat latte. Here's to a great Friday evening and Saturday. Next week I might save some money too. All in all, not bad lately.

Good morning. Happy Saturday! I had a shower, and, it's always nice when I get some alone time in the room. Even though it still sucks to live in a shelter.

This morning I decided to take another shot at the elusive bug I talked about in my previous post. Fingers crossed the fix will work. I'll find out when I'll arrive at the library.

Meanwhile, I watched

Although, I expect some places to vet letdowns but I'm going to explore them anyways. It's pretty hard when you're vegan.
I’m vegan too! well mostly vegan.. this month I indulged in a snickers bar which makes me vegetarian! But anywho I’m so glad to hear from someone who’s also vegan! Having a pretty hard night and this brightened me up for sure! Thank you for sharing! ❤️ hope your trip is going fantastic!

Hi and welcome to my journal, Superpower. Thank you for stopping by! Being (mostly) a vegan (us, chocolate lovers do have Achilles heel when it comes to it - I too eat vegetarian chocolate, so that makes vegetarian the two of us; you're not alone) is so awesome, right? The energy we get from eating balanced, nutritious food is making our body so happy. Not to speak of the mental clarity it comes with, for sure!

Sorry to hear you're having a pretty hard night and I'm glad my sharing brightened it a bit. I hope you feel better soon. After the storm(s), there's always blue sky. It's hard to keep this in mind when you're in it, and yes, it'll get better. Sending you hugs if ok.

Thanks for wishing me a nice trip!

Aaanndd the week is officially closed! Nailed it. *******ing nailed it! 25 issues resolved in a week, with one mostly done (will just have to review, test and merge once I get back to work). Resolved the elusive bug. Well, mostly. I still need to implement some functionality for it to take effect. But it works! Tested and confirmed. Of course, as usual, started my morning with a decaf Americano with oat milk and a croissant 🥐, followed by lunch where I had the magic smoked tofu wrap with a decaf oat latte, aaanndd ended it with Chana Masala, medium spicy with some green chilli and steam basmati rice 🍚. To top it all, the spirits store next door restocked with chocolate, and, not only chocolate but milk hazelnut chocolate. And not just milk hazelnut chocolate, but Belgian milk hazelnut chocolate of the most top quality. Of course, I immediately bought one to have for tomorrow. And this is it! Next week I'm in holiday. 1 week of traveling, sight seeing, walking, eating, drinking and hopefully meeting friends. **** yeah!
