Myeah. I think I made my mind. Will replace the shoes with 1 number higher. Tomorrow will seek a box to put them in.

Don't know if the offer would have still held for a swap so I went ahead and ordered a new pair the right size this time, telling them to leave the support ticket open for the reimbursement of the first pair of shoes. Fingers crossed.

Morning. So they got back to me about 2 hours ago and basically said to do what I did. The shipping to return the product is freaking TWENTY ONE BUCKS! A fortune! If I'd known it's this expensive I wouldn't have bought online. And, of course, it's non refundable. This means I'll only get about 80 bucks back for my shoes. Not great. Add to this that the new order cost more than the previous and I'm down to 60. Not great at all. Definitely won't repeat this experience.

Did the calculation. I payed 33.44 extra compared to the first order. If I add the first order with this amount of money, I get 146.87 which canceled all the discounts and basically it's as if I bought from a store where I live. Argh!

Yeah, I'll also have to buy clear tape for the shipping label. Anyways.

Just waiting for the clothes to finish drying in the dryer. Then I'll have to buy clear tape and find a cardboard box for the shoes. And then put the return form inside the box and tape the label onto the box and hand it out to UPS.

Oh, my, God! The marathon is over. Phew. 😅

I managed to send the return parcel. I had to buy clear tape and also pay for printing the return form and the shipping label. I calculated that, from the price of the shoes in store (different brand of shoes), if they refund me with the delivery of the order, I'd go over about 4 bucks. I think it's ok in the end, though I really would've liked to have had that discount of 30 some bucks with the first order. Anyways, fingers crossed the new pair is the right size this time.

Now, it's time to have lunch, a small decaf oat latte and head for work after reading some T.W.

P.S. as if it wasn't challenging enough, I ordered the shipping label from UPS before having had everything ready and having to ship the parcel by 3PM today. 😅 I was lucky to find a cardboard box, for free, at a store on my way to printing the form and label. They were very kind. I liked it. Small moment of joy.

The amount I will save is down to 43.77 bucks. Down from 70 something due to the recent expenses with the return parcel. If I can save 40 next week, I'm happy.

Didn't expect C-PTSD to be on the news in the USA.

At the shelter. What a day! Packed to the brim.

In the morning I washed my clothes, then did the marathon to get the return parcel sent. While doing that I also recycled some socks I had with me. Then had lunch and a decaf oat latte. Worked and got quite a few things done. Then bought bananas for breakfast and dinner. And finally had lunch.

Tomorrow's going to be a relax day. In the morning I'll most probably work, then I'll start my morning with a small decaf Americano with oat milk and a croissant 🥐 . Then I'll work. Afterwards, I'll head for lunch (vegan sweet potato burrito) & a small decaf oat latte. Next, more work. Then I'll take the antacid & head out for the majestic Chana Masala, medium spicy with some green chilli and steam basmati rice 🍚🌾.

Next week, I'll hopefully meet on Friday with the friend that helped me with setting up my app's Google account so I can buy him a coffee and close that chapter. 🤞🏻

Meanwhile, let's see what us open uploaded recently on their YouTube channel and relax.

Vamos! Forza!

Nothing from us open. However, fed announced rate cuts.

As they say in an airplane: "brace! Brace! Brace! Head down, stay down!" 🤞🏻 For smooth landing

Guten Morgen. Worked a bit. Got some stuff done. Need to retest to see what indexes I need to create for my database to work. And I need to fix a crash during a functionality usage. Perfect for later after a coffee and a croissant.

Now, relax time.

Relaxing in the library. Waiting for 15 minutes more before departing for the magic Chana Masala.

Today was absolutely NUTS! Lots of problem solving and managed to get everything working before the day ended. It feels so good. 👌🏻👍🏻🙏🏻

Today I went to the cafe that has the vegan sweet potato burrito. I ate one. And had a small decaf oat latte. All in all, both the burrito and the coffee were cheaper than I had anticipated. Which is good news. In total, I saved 1.50 bucks from what I normally expected I'd pay. Great for a treat on Monday or Tuesday. I think I'll hit my target to save 40 bucks by Wednesday next week. I deleted my review of the place from my holiday. Even though, the coffee is still not that amazing. But hey, the price is decent. So it works out.

On top of it, they have loyalty card so it's awesome to keep my digital card and have a free coffee on the 10th one. Didn't expect it due to medium pricing on their coffee.

Let's see if the rest of the day goes smoothly.

I'm all alone in the room in the shelter. I should be alone until Wednesday next week. 🤞🏻

Vamos! Forza!

At the shelter. Everything went smooth. Ate the magic Chana Masala. Saved on the bill with 2 bucks. Caught the bus in time. Exchanged for a different bus in city center. Watched a family with friends interact. Caught sunny outside while walking to the shelter. And now, relax time. Heck yeah! Absolutely nailing it.
