I don't feel sad but I cry. Today should be a good day so why am I crying? Can anxiety make u cry? I start a new job this week and I'm a little nervous but not that nervous I don't think. I just can't stop the stream of tears, why? I don't know.

Thank you for sharing and I am sorry you are feeling this way. I know for me many times when I get anxious I can cry feeling overwhelmed and scared. Sometimes when we cry there is a reason that we are not seeing or looking at. Has something taken place or are you working on something in therapy that could possible be deeper than you think?

Sometimes things come up inside that we do not understand and this could be something starting to make its way to the surface but just not be there yet. Allowing yourself to cry allows you to release those feelings even if you do not understand them In time when you are supposed to understand, I believe you will.

Please do not be hard on yourself as you will get there and understand in time. It could very well be the anxiety that is bringing this on but there could be something under the anxiety that you just have not figured out yet. Know that we are here listening and we care.

Sending you gentle hugs and loving thoughts. Always.

Thanks for this!

there have been times i couldn't stop crying-in the past. i learned to view it as a soul cleansing...and sure enough i felt better afterwards if only for a minute. so try to see it as a possible venting of stuff that has bogged you down and you're releasing it. that's better than staying all bottled up and that heavy sack you're carrying is lightening every time you cry.

Please read and take on board what beautiful dps has said. I agree with every word she has written and I can feel the genuine love and concern in the way she wrote it.

The key here is to just allow it come to the surface and either dissolve into nothing then see how you feel and if it as crystalised into something that has bothered you recently or in the distant past. Please keep posting so that we can support you,
