God it is so hard to communicate in a relationship when you don't know what you are feeling. I know am justified in feeling this way.
I just want to climb out of my own skin.

Elana

sure can relate to your post

I often wish I had a manual to read that said-- "when this happens one should feel like- _____"....... so then I KNOW for sure what I'm feeling is spot on.....

wishing you peace

(((Elana))) I can relate. It is hard but we need to keep trying. It's especially hard when we don't have positive images/tapes for what it's like to have a 'normal' emotionally healthy/EXPRESSIVE relationship.

Thanks so much geez & purple_fins,

Definitely feeling this way again this evening so it was nice to get your responses. So true about the "positive images/tapes." Truly lacking for me when I was a kid.

it can be frustrating not know what we feel or how we want to feel. but if we dont know it gives us a chance to review the situation with a clearer mind. this allows us to decide how we want to react and feel about the situation. perhaps it will be a calmer less emotional response. this will allow us to respond in a more positive way and even be able to communicate to another what has occured and how it affects you.
