just for once- the first time in my life- i would really like to talk to someone that can identify with my illness(bi polar being the most pressing) and not feel ridiculed or shamed when it is revealed who i am or things that i have done/said in my darkest hours. i know these like minded people exist and if you happen to be one of them,i'd really love to talk to you.thanks.

I am not bipolar as I have never been manic but I am available to listen if you need. I am non-judgemental, done a lot of things myself that I am not proud of so how can I judge others???? I don't trigger.

I'm not bipolar either, but I'm a recovering drunk and I've done some things that I am ashamed of and I've made amends for. I'd just as soon not have people judging me for it after all these years. BUT there are people who do just that. So i can understand where you're coming from. I have friends who I've known for 40 some odd years, who won't even speak to me anymore ~ and they weren't involved in any of this. Go figure.

I'm also a great listener. LOL Hugs, Lee

By the way, I think it happens alot where people mess up when they are in mania or in pyschosis. And people mess up when they aren't at all mentally ill.

I know how you feel and I can really relate to being judged without even having to say anything else but the dreaded name "Bipolar" and suddenly you're marked, banished, looked down upon. I'm here anytime you need to talk without judgement. We have all been there bipolar or not, some just can't face it.
take care of yourself and be gentle

[quote=mixedemotions777;1671709]just for once- the first time in my life-I think you need to focas more. With this disorder you have, it is difficult. You must have a central power in your life that will help you.I do not have the disorder that you have, but I still need to acknowledge my central power. I call him God. He protects me and blesses me,but you must believe. In this world we live in you don't have to have a disorder to turn to God. You need strength in order to cope with this world and protecting from harm. God is your insurance-try him.It works
In answer to you,No it is not just you.
