Had a bad dream and somehow its still sticking with me after I woke up. How do you get on with your day even when you don't know where its coming from?

personally i think what helps for me is doing something productive. set goals for the day.. do something you like.. achieve them. have a positive conversation with someone you trust.

also, listen to your favorite upbeat music .. really helps for me.

I hope you're feeling better today!

I hate when that happens. I like to write things out so I can sort out what exactly I'm feeling and where it's coming from. When it's bad dreams, writing them out makes it feel like they have less power over me.

Coffee helps, too!

I hate that, too.

I have recurring dreams, esp. in the morning, right before I have to get up and they can often be debilitating.

I tell myself that it's the past (dreams are usually about being in my aunt's old house) and right now I am an adult and things are okay NOW.

Not sure what you dreamt, so I can't really help much.

But I do relate to how they can make us feel.

yuck.

it might help also to journal your dreams, maybe it's something simple trying to get your attention? Journaling can also help put things in perspective.....when you go back and reread things it can make more sense later on where it might not have when you first wrote it down.
